Call to develop Sri Lanka-Male trade ties

JOINT VENTURE: Sri Lanka and Maldives should work together to promote tourism and fishing industries. This would benefit both countries in economic terms in the long-term perspective, leader of Maldivian Social Democratic Party Reeko Ibrahim Manik said.

He said that combination of both sectors would always the best to improve the bilateral trade between two countries, which in turn would help both States especially during difficult times.

Manik who will be one of the prospective candidates for the next year’s Presidential election from the Maldivian Social Demoractic Party said that he would always advocate bilateral trade with Sri Lanka that would enable to exploit opportunities especially in the sea area to develop fishing and tourism industries.
