Dip in Stock Market

Stock market: The Colombo Stock market started basically on a positive note till midday and started losing ground by end of yesterday’s trading sources said.

Yesterday the investor sentiment was not good as previous day’s performance and sources expects the market to continue the volatile condition for a longer time, Stock Market analysts said.

During the day market was able to secure a total turnover of Rs 225 million and both indices including All Share Price Index and Milanka Price Index dipped by five points. The total value of volume 7.2 million shares.

The top traded companies are Tess Agro 1.5 million, Singer Sri Lanka 1.1 million and Colombo Dock Yard 0.76, traded yesterday.
