Kingswood routs Wesley

RUGBY: Kingswood College went on the rampage as they routed their traditional rivals Wesley College by a massive 87 points to nil in their Singer inter school 'A' division league rugby tournament match worked off at Longden Place yesterday.

The Kingswoodians also retained the L. E. Blaze Shield for another year. Kingswood College collected their points from seven goal, seven tries and one drop goal after having taken a huge 45 nil lead at half time.

Centre three quarter Roshan Weeraratne was in tremendous form as he planted five tries while his brother Gayan Weeraratne scored three tries.

In addition Gayan Ratnage also scored two tries while Nelan Kulatunga, Jeewa Galgamuwa, Imal Dhanaratne and Kasun Geethanjana scored a try each.

Roshan Weeraratne also converted seven tries while C. P. Wijetunga put over the drop goal. Dilroy Fernando refereed.
