Communication solution for In'l Water Management Institute from SLT
AGREEMENT: Sri Lanka Telecom, the nation's premium communication
service provider, has signed an agreement to provide, total voice and
internet solutions to the International Water Management Institute (IWMI).
A non-profit scientific research organisation, IWMI works with
partners to develop tools and methods to help developing countries
eradicate poverty through more effective management of water and land
resources.
SLT will provide high-speed Internet connectivity and total voice
communication system according to the agreement.
The investment in the new solution of dedicated high bandwidth
connectivity would allow IWMI to have access to the global internet at
high speed.
The solution helps the IWMI a direct cost saving, making operations
smoother as well as enhancing capabilities of the customer. The
reputation SLT has built over the years with reliability and quality of
service and customised solutions based on the client's requirement are
the reasons the company signed the agreement.
The agreement was signed by Director General, IWMI, Dr. Frank
Rijsberman, and CMO, SLT Priyantha Perera, General Manager (Sales)
Ajantha Senavirathna, Deputy General Manager (SME Sales) Prashantha
Robertson, Manager (SME Sales) Kulothungan, Account Manager (SME Sales)
Thumesha Tennakoon, also represented SLT at the occasion.
