14 injured in Nepal blast
NEPAL: At least 14 people were injured after a bomb exploded
in a market place in southern Nepal on Monday, police said.
"A pipe bomb planted by an unidentified group exploded in a busy
market in Chandranigahapur," Monday afternoon said district police chief
Yogeshwor Rom Khami. At least one of the injured is in a critical
condition, he said, adding that "security has been tightened in the area
after the blast," in the small town 60 kilometres (37 miles) south of
Kathmandu.
Local media reported that a group called Terai Army Dal (Party) had
claimed responsibility for the attack, but the police officer said that
they had received no information about who planted the bomb.
