Bus collides with gas tanker, 25 dead
INDIA: Twenty-five people were killed when a bus burst into
flames after colliding with a gas tanker in western India, authorities
said on Tuesday.
The accident occurred late on Monday in Anand district, 45 km (30
miles) south of Ahmedabad, the main city of Gujarat state, when the bus
collided with the truck carrying liquefied petroleum gas, said fire
officials.
"About 25 passengers died due to burns. Some were totally charred,"
said M.R. Karanjia, a district police official.
