Ministry organises mobile services

COLOMBO: The Plantation Industries Ministry conducted a mobile service in the Gampola electorate on May 3 and 4 at the Udapalata and Delpitiya Divisional Secretariat covering sixteen Grama Niladhari Divisions.

A large number of people gathered during the two days to get instant solutions for their problems on lands, deeds, housing, social welfare, Samurdhi, pensions, ID cards, and registration of births and deaths.

The Ministry has planned to distribute land deeds among the public who do not possess any lands to develop tea, rubber and coconut cultivation. Necessary funds for these projects have been allocated by the Jathika Saviya Fund.

Minister’s Media Secretary Nishantha Alwis said, a 65 per cent of problems faced by the public were solved instantly.

Minister D. M. Jayaratne has agreed to discuss other problems at a higher level.
