Emirates, Singapore Airlines resume flights

DUBAI: Emirates airlines have decided to resume operations to Sri
Lanka and they would operate their flights from May 4. In addition
Singapore airlines too would resume their operations to Colombo once
again.
President Emirates Airlines Timothy C. Clark in an interview with the
Daily News at the opening day of the Arabian Travel Market here said
there would be no reduction of their flights to Colombo.
The airline which also manages SriLankan Airlines operates 17 flights
a week to Colombo.
He also said the Airline is keen to extend their management contract
with SriLankan Airlines which expires next year. "We are very keen to do
business in Sri Lanka once again and are looking forward another
management term with the SriLankan," he said.
Clark said they are also looking at investing on a hotel project in
Sri Lanka similar to the ones they already have in Dubai, Australia and
Mauritius. "This hotel project would also have the largest swimming pool
in the world," he said.
