HOCKEY: The finals of 50th men’s Hockey Nationals organised by the Matale Hockey Association on behalf of the Sri Lanka Hockey Federation will be worked off today - Saturday March 31, at the Nandimithra Hockey Stadium in Matale at 4.30 p.m.

The men’s finalists will be known only this morning after the semi-finals between Matale HA and Colombo HA and State Services HA and Defence Services HA is worked off.

In the quarterfinals played yesterday Matale HA beat Kegalle HA 4-1, State Services HA beat Galle HA 4-1 Defence Services HA beat Kandy HA 5-1 and Colombo HA beat Sri Lanka Schools HA 4-0.

At the 17th hockey Nationals for women played on a round robin basis the defending champions Kandy HA were on top beating Matale HA 10-1. In second place is Colombo HA followed by Sri Lanka Schools HA and Matale HA.

The women’s finals will be played at 3.30 p.m. which will be between Kandy HA and Matale HA. The losers final will be played at 2.30 p.m.
