‘Hiripoda Wessa’ at Regal, Kandy

SARASAVIYA FESTIVAL: Kandy residents will have the opportuity to view the screening of the Sinhala film “ Hiripoda Wessa” directed by Udayakantha Warnakulasuriya at the Regal Cinema,Kandy at 6.00 pm today, March 23.

Continuingthe ceremonies commected with the 31st Saravasiya National film Festival, two other Sinhala films Anjalika and Sewwandi will be screed on March 24 and 25 respectively. The film “Hiripoda Wessa” produced by Soma Edirisinghe in 2006 for the EAP group collected a record revenue during that year.

Sarasaviya Popular Film Week will begin on March 26 at the Regal Cinema,Colombo and ends with the Sarasaviya Film Awards ceremony in the presence of a distinguished gathering at the BMICH. The People’s Bank has joined hands to sponsor the event.
