Ganja worth Rs. 7 m seized

MONERAGALA: Ganja worth Rs. 7 million were seized by Moneragala Excise Officers when they raided several ganja chenas in Arambekema, Uriyara and Mauwara areas last evening.

Seven suspects were arrested. Ten excise officers participated in the raid.

The ganja was destroyed by Excise Officers. The ganja and the suspects were produced before the Moneragala Magistrate, Moneragala Excise Officer in Charge Mohammed Faizal said.
