CHCā€™s holiday offer

OFFERS: The Ceylon Hotels Corporation (CHC) now member of the Gardiner Group is offering special discounts for the forthcomming April holiday season at their 24 hotels, motels, resorts, rest houses or restaurants.

With three sets of long weekends penciled into the month of April, each property will be a hive of activity as the entire nation is seeped in festivity and a holiday mood to herald in the much awaited ā€œAluth Avuruduā€, a celebration of both, the harvest and of future expectations.

As few shops and restaurants are open during this time and domestic help has returned to their ancestral homes in eagerness to celebrate the holidays with family and friends - Ceylon Hotels Corporation offers ideal get-a-ways for the harried household seeking a relaxing yet rewarding experience at very affordable prices. It is an opportunity for the entire family to ā€œdiscover Sri Lankaā€.

The collection of properties feature all that you will ever need for a perfect holiday, from a full array of land and water sport activities to tempting cuisines, refreshing cocktails and more.

Ceylon Hotels Corporationā€™s team of talented chefs will prepare a delectable selection of Western, Eastern and Sri Lankan dishes along with ā€œhomeā€™ favoritesā€ and themed buffets, which are popular amongst the locals and tourists who often visit the properties.

All bars will be transformed into a typical ā€œkopi kadeā€ and ā€˜Onchillasā€™ will be tied to trees in the garden for the children. Other traditional games of kotta pora (pillow fighting), kamba admia (tug-of-war), kana muttiya, virindu, raffle draws, pool games, cricket, and volleyball will be part and parcel of the Aluth Avurudu festivities. Entertainment will include DJ music, a calypso band, baila competition and of course the crowning of the Avurudu Kumaraya and Avurudu Kumari.

To mark its 40 years celebration (which took place in February this year), Ceylon Hotels Corporation has especially created an ā€œavuruduā€ cake.
