Peak Rest gets new look

MODERNISATION: Peak Rest, Hatton, has been fully refurbished and has been given a new look.

The latest addition to this tourist hotel, is the ‘Peak Garden Restaurant and outdoor BBQ pavilion’ from where tourists get a gorgeous view of the hill country and lush tea plantations surrounding Hatton. Within a short period, this complex has become very popular among tourists.

Peak Rest is built on a beautifully located mountain in close proximity to the Hatton town. The hotel is surrounded by waterfalls and lush tea plantations, offers a picturesque setting for rest, and relaxation.

The friendly services extended by Managing Director, K. Sugumar and his staff has made tourists both foreign and Sri Lankan, feel they are at the ‘peak’ of hospitality during their stay.

The hotel has 14 well-appointed guest rooms and is the first tourist hotel at the entrance to Hatton. The main attraction is Adams Peak which is only a 30-minute drive away.

The restaurant serves delicious Western, Eastern, Chinese and Sri Lankan culinary delights prepared by a team of well-experienced chefs. It is a popular stop-over for those travelling to Nuwara Eliya, on the Colombo-Hatton highway.

The hotel organises safaris for tourists to visit Nuwara Eliya, Adams Peak, and Sri Lanka’s most beautiful waterfalls, Devon and St. Clare, which are in close proximity to Peak Rest.

The hotel is an ideal location for family outings and company picnics for which special packages are offered. It is also an ideal spot for honeymooners due to its romantic location and cool climate.

Mynd Storm with the ‘Master of Minds’ at Cinnamon Grand

Galway’s new team on a massive marketing programme

STRATEGY: Leading travel agents in Sri Lanka were hosted to cocktails by Galway Hotel Management Services (Pvt) Ltd, at Water’s Edge, Battaramulla, last week.

The event coincided with the 10th anniversary of Galway Hotel Management Services (Pvt) Ltd. It was attended by over 100 leading personalities in Sri Lanka’s travel industry.
