FM sympathise with Indonesia’s quake hit

COLOMBO: Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama in a message to his Indonesian counterpart expressed his sympathies to those affected by the earthquake in Indonesia.

The Minister in his message to Dr. N. Hassan Wirajuda said: “I would like to convey to Your Excellency, the Government and people of Indonesia, our deepest sympathies on the great loss, both in human and material terms, caused by the powerful earthquake that hit your country.

I was also shocked to learn about the crash of an Indonesian jet in Yogyakarta. Please be assured that the thoughts and best wishes of all Sri Lankans are with the people of Indonesia and you in these difficult times. Please accept the assurances of my highest consideration.“
