Chance to ‘click’ your photos for the Daily News
The Daily News, which always has a place for its readers, is
welcoming photographs for publication in its news, feature and sports
pages.
Be it a complaint like pot-holed roads, garbage dumps, or traffic
blocks, to pictures brightening your day like smiling children on their
way to school or a busy vegetable market to a photograph that pulls the
heartstrings of readers, we welcome them. It can even be an action
picture from a sports event.
In fact, the list of topics is endless and if you do happen to
‘click’ a photograph you think it is fit for publication, do send it to
us. Who knows, it could be the Page One picture.
Contributions for our Lassana Sri Lanka column are overflowing from
all parts of the island.
Likewise, we believe that we will have an overwhelming response from
our readers to our new venture. The Daily News which believes in
interactive journalism, is of the view that in the end it is the reader
whose voice should be heard by decision makers.
The pictures that we publish will be first-hand experiences of our
readers, seen through their own eyes and camera lenses.
Printed colour photographs with captions, the sender’s name, contact
number, ID number and address should be sent to the Daily News,
Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd, Lake House, Colombo. Please state
at the top left hand corner of the envelope ‘News Pictures’. Photographs
can also be e-mailed to [email protected] in JPEG format (200dpi).
