Weapons seized from home of detainee

COLOMBO: A haul of weapons were seized yesterday at Dematagoda from the home of one of the three suspects arrested on Monday in connection with their links to the LTTE.

According to a spokesman from the Media Centre for the National Security the Security Forces conducted a search operation in the railway housing scheme in Dematagoda yesterday around 1.00 a.m.

He said that a 9mm pistol, two magazines, 35 live rounds, three Rambo knives, two rounds of T-56 ammunition, a mini recorder and some documents were recovered from the house.
