Deyata Kirula brought all media together - Media Minister

COLOMBO: All media institutes in the country came under one
roof for the first time at the Deyata Kirula - Heta Dinana Ratata
Educational and Development Exhibition.
We should become pioneers in introducing this to South Asia, Minister
of Information and Media Anura Priyadarshana Yapa who was the chief
guest at the fifth day of the exhibition said.
Appreciating the unity among the media institutes he said that the
competition among media stations is becoming highly competitive. But we
must dedicate ourselves to ensure the right of the public to receive
true information”, Yapa said.
He pointed out that the unity of the media is essential at a time
that Mahinda Chinthanaya has stepped into create a new Sri Lanka under
its ten year development plan and appreciated the gathering of all media
at this event.
Over 600,000 people had visited the exhibition by yesterday which
comprised a large number of school children. The main attraction for
them were the stalls of the three Armed Forces and the Police. Today is
the final day of the exhibition. |
