Mayantha Dissanayake joins SLFP

COLOMBO: Mayantha Dissanayake, the youngest son of the former UNP and Opposition Leader Gamini Dissanayake joined the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) yesterday.

Following the footsteps of his grandfather Andrew Dissanayake who was a member of the SLFP and a Deputy Minister of 1956 Bandaranaike Government, Mayantha has decided to join the SLFP.

He received his Letter of Appointment as SLFP organiser for Colombo West from President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees in the presence of SLFP Secretary General Minister Maithreepala Sirisena.
