SLFP convention at BMICH today

COLOMBO: The 55th anniversary of the SLFP will be held at the BMICH today under President Mahinda Rajapaksa's leadership.

The SLFP stand on the ethnic crisis would be officially announced at the convention, Party General Secretary Maithripala Sirisena said.

The party has invited 2,550 delegates of the SLFP and leaders of other political parties.

Several development projects will be launched countrywide to mark the occasion while measures have been taken to invoke blessings on the Armed Forces.
