Industrial projects worth Rs. 783 m to get off the ground
Under the Gamata Karmantha program Ministry of
Industrial Development has approved new nine ventures with a total
investment of Rs 783 million. Additional Secretary to the Ministry
of Industrial Development R.V.D. Piyatilake told Daily News all nine
investments will provide 2250 direct job opportunities to the youth
in the country.

Fishery Harbours Corp. makes comeback with Rs. 14 m profits
THE Ceylon Fishery Harbours Corporation (CFHC)
has recorded Rs. 14 million profit during the first eight months of
this year. The Corporation incurred a Rs. 66 million loss during
last year and it was Rs. 33 million in 2004.
