Three wheel car makes debut

NEW VEHICLE: Ecowheels (Pvt) Ltd. Battaramulla an associate company of WeighTech has launched a Chinese three wheel car for the local market as a solution for the current traffic and fuel problem.

Marketing Director Nuwan Ediriwira said the car is targeted forany family, and is an economical method of transport for any purpose. It is a popular vehicle in most Scandinavian countries. According to Ediriwira it runs very well in fuel consumption and does around 30- 33-km per litre. They are freely available.

It has five door-four seated in moulded fibreglass body. This is a four-stroke water-cooled 200cc engine.

Other attractive features of the vehicle are pax totally protected against sun and rain, spring operated air vent for better cooling, cabin lighting, hydraulic brakes and rear wheels.

The maximum speeds is up to 60 km/h for safety. The cost of the vehicle is around Rs. 500,000 and so far customers have ordered more than 50 units.
