Taxila Central and Kalutara Vidyalaya Kabadi Champions

KABADI: The Kabadi Championship titles of the 2006 Western Province inter-school Sports Festival conducted by the Western Province Ministry of Education were clinched by Taxila Central College, Horana (Girls) and Kalutara Vidyalaya (Boys) at the National Youth Centre Ground, Maharagama recently.

Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo, Taxila Central College, Horana (Girls), Kalutara Vidyalaya and Nalanda Boys' School, Minuwangoda (Boys) qualified for the finals.

In the girls finals Taxila Central College, Horana recorded an easy win against Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo.

In the boys final Kalutara Vidyalaya had an easy win against Nalanda Boys School, Minuwangoda by 45 points to 17.

Henegama Central College and Kalutara Gnanodaya Vidyalaya secured the 3rd places in the girls and boys respectively.
