Govt will never surrender to terrorism - President
President Mahinda Rajapaksa in his Address to the
Nation in the aftermath of the LTTE's suicide attack in Colombo
yesterday stressed that no type of terrorism would frighten him and his
Government and that his Government would never be brought to its knees
by any such challenge.

UNP and other parties condemn attack
The Sri Lanka Freedom Party deplored the LTTE bomb
attack at the Colombo Army Headquarters yesterday. SLFP General
Secretary Maithripala Sirisena, who himself was targeted by the LTTE
recently, said this dastardly attack seriously undermined the peace
process.
