Ranil never gives false promises - Rambukwella

Kandy District MP and President of the Kandy District UNP Bala Mandalaya Keheliya Rambukwella said that the UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe had never told a lie and the 'People's Agenda' presented to the country by him would be put into practice to its very letter once he is elected the President of the Country on November 17.

He was addressing the UNP organisers and activists to discuss the UNP's Presidential election campaign held at the UNP District office Kandy.

Rambukwella added that it was the SLFP and their Allies who were famous for giving false promises to the people.

At the general elections held in 2004 the PA led by the SLFP gave a number of promises and the people believed that those pledges would be fulfilled but after coming into power they neglected those promises and the people realised that they had been deceived.

The UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe had never given false promises to the people so that the 'People's Agenda' he has put before the country contained a programme of work which the UNP would put into practice, he said.

Rambukwella requested party activists to work hard to ensure a comfortable victory to Ranil Wickremesinghe.
