HNB CEO visits Jaffna peninsula
CEO of HNB Rajendra Thyagarajah together with senior officials
visited Jaffna on August 5 and 6, to expand business activities in the
peninsula.

The Managers of Jaffna, Nelliady and Chunnakam were able to present
their business plans to the CEO.
The presentation made by manager S.Sunthareswaran with a Laptop on a
parapet wall at the proposed Manipay site with regard to his business
plans impressed the officials of the bank. The CEO was able to meet all
the staff of Jaffna District Branches (Jaffna, Chunnakam and Nelliady)
on August 06 at the Nelliady Branch. The CEO explained the future
business plans for HNB to become the number one bank in the country.
The corporate members were in Jaffna during the tensed situation due
to the unfortunate incidents at Innuvil where a SSP and a barber lost
their lives that followed a curfew.
However the CEO carried out his activities as planned, which gave
strength and courage to the staff of the Region.
The CEO laid the foundation stone for a tsunami housing project at
Punithanagar, Point-Pedro on August 6, where the Nelliady branch is
coordinating with KPMG Ford, Rhodes Thornton Company to build 40 houses. |
