Western Province - champions

WESTERN Province with a massive total of 773 points clinched the overall title at the National School Games track and field athletic meet concluded at the Sugathadasa Stadium yesterday.

The runners up Sabaragamuwa Province were well behind having collected only 333 points and Central Province were placed third in the overall championship with a total of 291 points.

Meanwhile Ananda College took the boys schools overall title with a total of 113 points followed by Walalla MMV Ratnapura (78 points) and Mahinda College Galle (67 points).

The girls schools overall title went to Senanayake MMV Menikhinna which obtained a total of 99 points.

Sumanabalika MV Ratnapura with 75 points emerged runners up and Tholangamuwa Central with a total of 58 points were placed third.
