Reorientation of SAARC

The major stakeholders in the political environment of our region perhaps now seem to realise the indispensability of durable peace and tranquillity in South Asia and are seeking to grapple with their bilateral issues. The India-Pakistan composite dialogue process, hopefully, will reach its logical conclusion.

BBC's concert for South Asian peace

Music helped bring smiles to faces in Karachi and Mumbai (Bombay) during a unique BBC concert linked live by satellite. Pakistan's Abida Parveen and India's Shubha Mudgal sang respectively from the two cities for Tuesday evening's concert, entitled Sur ka Rishta (Bond of Music).
