'Ranil deliberately boycotting UNP's release-SB campaigns'

FORMER Senior UNP Minister A. M. S. Adhikari alleged that UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe is deliberately sabotaging the UNP campaign to obtain the release of former Minister S. B. Dissanayake from prison by boycotting the protest campaigns organised in this regard.

He said not a single UNP Parliamentarian from the Kalutara district attended the protest campaign held recently in the Kalutara district.

Only UNP Parliamentarians Dr. Rajitha Senaratne and Mahinda Wijesekera attended the protest campaign and satyagraha held at the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, Anuradhapura while UNP Parliamentarians in the Anuradhapura district were notable absentees.

Mr. Adhikari said the UNP Parliamentarians who have read the mindset of UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe were also boycotting the campaign to demand the release of S. B. Dissanayake in order to be on the good books of their party leader.
