The Baby 81, and his parents, on a tour in the United States visited
Capital Hill as a part of efforts by US legislators to fight woman and
child exploitation.
They were flown to the US last week by the private television
network, ABC for a television interview and later travelled to many
places in the US.
Baby 81 or Abilash Jeyarajah was found in the rubble after the
tsunami struck last December and nine mothers claimed that the baby
belonged to them.
However, after a DNA test, Jenita and Murugupillai Jeyarajah were
proved to be the child's real parents.

Sudan gives medicine, dry rations
Sudanese Ambassador to Sri Lanka based in New Delhi arrived in
Colombo this week with 17 tons of medicine and dry rations as a donation
from the people of Sudan to express their solidarity with Sri Lanka's
tsunami victims.
Mohammed Omar Hassan Al Bashir is a senior diplomat, a former
journalist and a poet. He said he was enraptured by the beauty of Sri
Lanka and described it as a gift of God. |
