News in brief

Baby 81 visits US congress

The Baby 81, and his parents, on a tour in the United States visited Capital Hill as a part of efforts by US legislators to fight woman and child exploitation.

They were flown to the US last week by the private television network, ABC for a television interview and later travelled to many places in the US.

Baby 81 or Abilash Jeyarajah was found in the rubble after the tsunami struck last December and nine mothers claimed that the baby belonged to them.

However, after a DNA test, Jenita and Murugupillai Jeyarajah were proved to be the child's real parents.
