Vithana to lead Lanka u-19 to Pakistan
FORMER St. Aloysius, Galle captain Harsha Vithana will
lead the Sri Lanka under-19 cricket team on their tour of Pakistan from
March 16-April 3.
Vithana who currently plays for Colts was vice-captain
to Farveez Maharoof of the Sri Lanka under 19 world cup team last year.
Josephian fast bowler Angelo Mathews is Vithana's deputy.
The national selectors picked a squad of 15 players plus
five standbys for the five-match tour which comprises two under 19
four-day tests at Karachi and Multan on March 18 and March 24
respectively and three under 19 one-day games at Multan, Lahore and
Karachi on March 29, 31 and April 3 respectively.
