Nihal Sri Amerasekere heads PSIDC

PERC Chairman Nihal Sri Amerasekere had been appointed Chairman of the Private Sector Infrastructure Development Co. Ltd., (PSIDC), the Government Agency to finance and fund economic infrastructure projects, providing long-term funding, on the President's direction.

The other Directors appointed are Cyril Gunapala, Senior Advisor to the President, Suhada Gamlath, Secretary, Ministry of Justice, Mahinda Madihahewa, Secretary Ministry of Labour, S. B. Divaratna, Deputy Secretary to the Treasury, V. Kanagasabapathi, Director General, Public Enterprises and Pradeep Randiwela, Dean of the Faculty of Management, University of Colombo.

PSIDC is to focus and give priority to financing small and medium rural economic infrastructure projects, providing funding repayable over very long-term periods.
