The Special Investigation Unit probing the alleged Rs. 1 million fraud at the Samurdhi Society Development Fund by former UNP Co-operative Minister Abdul Cader told Colombo Chief Magistrate and Additional District Judge Sarojini Kusala Weerawardena yesterday that they had forwaded the dossier of investigation to the Attorney General for his advice.

Cader, on bail, was directed to appear in court on June 16, 2005.

At the outset, M. Iqbal Mohamed, Senior Counsel for Cader, told court that his client had returned the passport obtained from the registrar on the last date on a court order.

ASP C. V. Widisinghe and Inspector Ruwan Gunasekera appeared for the State. M. Iqbal Mohamed, M. I. M. Ishan and A. M. Nazeel instructed by A. l. Munas appeared for Cader.
