A swashbuckling knock of 108 not out with 10 sixes and 7 fours off only 90 deliveries by Chathura Bandara of Dharmarja saw them draw their schools' cricket match with Mahinda, Galle at the Open prison Camp grounds at Pallekelle on Saturday.

Mahinda: 124 all out in 74.5 overs (T. Rajakaruna 46, I. Chamara 24, R. M. C. Ratnayake 2 for 11, E. M. Perera 2 for 18, R. Y. Suriyarachchi 2 for 28)

Dharmaraja: 201 for 5 wkts in 38 overs (Chathura Bandara 108 n.o. Chamara Kapugedera 47, Upesh Wijesiri 26 n.o., I. Chamara 2 for 45).


Even exchanges

St.Peter's were 132 for 5 at close in reply to Cambrians' 225 on the first day of their school cricket match begun at Moratuwa on Saturday.

Nalin Prabodha 81 and S.Silva 44 were the chief scorers for the Prince of Wales and Shanaka Wickremasekera 6 for 74 bowled best for the Peterites. The match will be continued today at the same venue.

Drawn game

St. Sebastian's set to make 207 runs in 25 overs were 142 for 5 at close in their schools cricket match with Thurstan which ended in a draw at Moratuwa.

Resuming at 3 for 1, Sebs made 150 runs in reply to the visitors total of 230. Tharanga de Silva and Rajitha Mendis scored 63 and 41 respectively. Thurstanites in their second essay, declared at 126 for 4 leaving 207 runs for victory. Sachintha Cooray scored a quick 55 runs for the homesters ably supported by Jehan Fernando who made 43 runs.
