Major honours for Cambrians

Prince of Wales' College, Moratuwa gained a first innings lead of 44 runs in their inter-school cricket match against St. Peter's College, Bambalapitiya, played at Moratuwa.

Resuming at 132 for 5 Peterites were all out for 181 runs in reply to homsters total of 225 runs. Hans Fernando made 49 runs. In their second essay Cambrians declared at 209 for 8 with Dinesh Madushanka scoring 52 runs. While Nalin Probodha and Buddhika Hasranga scored 46 and unbeaten 48 runs respectively. When rain stopped play at 3 p.m. Peterites were 18 for no loss.

Prince of Wales 225 and 209 for 8 dec. (Dinesh Madushanka 52, Nalin Prabodha 46, Buddhika Hasaranga 48 n.o., Umar Samsudeen 3 for 64, Shehan Perera 3 for 29).

St. Peter's (overnight 132 for 5) all out 181 (Hans Fernando 49, Krishan Malage 29, Sanka Peiris 3 for 29, Prishan Hewage 2 for 27 and 18 for no loss).
