Coca-Cola provides safe drinking water for the displaced

As the real impact of the damage caused in the tsunami-hit areas in Sri Lanka becomes evident, Coca-Cola Beverages is contributing to the relief and rehabilitation measures being carried out across the country through government agencies and other institutions such as the Prime Minister's office, UNICEF, Red Cross and media institutions that are working as collection centres.

The Company last week provided ninety thousand litres of safe drinking water in 1.5 litre plastic bottles for those affected.

The management and staff of Coca-Cola Beverages are actively involved in the relief operations and have volunteered to donate five days salary to provide another ninety thousand litres of drinking water.

This consignment will be despatched in the first two weeks of this month through agencies that are working towards providing relief to the displaced.
