A special program has been launched by Lake House (ANCL) to provide relief to the people affected by the tidal waves and the floods which occurred on Sunday especially in the Northern and Eastern Provinces. People wishing to contribute towards this program can hand over their donations of dry food items, infant milk food, medicine, mats, bed sheets and other relief items to the Lake House (ANCL) head office or regional offices at Kandy Anuradhapura, Kataragama and Nugegoda. Lake House has also launched a special fund called the "Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd National Disaster Trust Fund" with an initial deposit of Rs. 2 million at the Bank of Ceylon Lake House Branch to provide financial relief to the people affected by the natural disaster. Lake House Chairman Janadasa Peiris and the Board of Directors request philanthropists and the public to contribute towards this fund which will cater to the needs of the disaster victims. Contributions should be sent to 'Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd National Disaster Trust Fund' current account number 39101. |
