"We pray to His Almighty to bless all those families and to restore to them their normal life soon. We share their loss and sorrow as a part of ours and assure to all of them that we will do our utmost to assist all those families.

We have decided to collect relief items and cash donations and send relief goods to all those people. We might mention that only a few days ago we sent relief assistance to Kilinochchi and that we have also sent a lorry load of relief assistance to Batticaloa through the Batticaloa YMHA, which reached them on the 25th December, 2004.
