Indices drop at Bourse

The All Share Price Index (ASPI) moved down by 0.7 points yesterday and closed at 1449.7 points while the Milanka Price Index (MPI) moved up by 0.4 points to close at 2044.8 points.

The Manufacturing sector accounted for 38% and 24% of the total turnover and total trades.

Foreign investors were net buyers with purchases of Rs. 7.4 million and sales of Rs. 1.4 million.

Motors, Trading, Manufacturing and Footwear and Textiles sectors were among the top gaining sectors while the top losing sectors included Land and Property, Investment Trust, Construction and Engineering and Diversified.
