The National Police Commission has appointed K. C. Logeswaran as Secretary of the Commission in terms of Article 155 D, of the Constitution. Logeswaran of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service held important government positions and retired in 1999 as Secretary to the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunication and the Media, states a press release from the National Police Commission. Soon after retirement, he was appointed Ambassador of Sri Lanka in the Republic of Korea and concluded his tour of duty in February 2003. He assumed duties as Secretary of the National Police Commission on September 10. |
