Appeal for a kidney

Mrs. H.J. Edirisinghe, a mother of two of 95 Ferguson Road, Colombo 14 is suffering from advance chronic kidney failure. Consultant physician and Nephrologist, Sri Jayawardenapura Hospital Dr. C.A. Herath has recommended a kidney transplant as the only life saving measure following kidney machine treatment.

The total transplant procedure to be done in India is estimated to cost over one million Indian rupees. She requests a Buddhist monk, Sil Maniyo or any other kind hearted person who is willing to donate 'A' positive or 'O' positive kidney to contact her on telephone number 011-2524623.

She says her husband is a retired teacher and his pension is insufficient to fund the kidney transplant surgery. She requests donors willing to assist her to remit their contributions to A/C 1-017942-9 at the Bank of Ceylon, Grand pass branch.
