Saudi funds for Neuro Trauma Centre by Mohammed Rasooldeen in Riyadh Riyadh, Sri Lanka has called for pre-qualification of contractors from the Kingdom for a Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) aided project in Colombo. The SFD grant totals Rs. 1.2 billion (US$ 10 billion) for Neuro Trauma Centre at Colombo National Hospital. The Sri Lankan Government plans to construct a nine-story fully-equipped Neuro Surgical Unit at National Hospital, Colombo. A loan agreement was signed recently between the SFD and the Government of Sri Lanka at the Ministry of Finance in the Sri Lankan capital. Eng. Mohammed Al-Shawi, Director General, Technical Department of the Saudi Fund for Development signed the accord on behalf of the Kingdom while, Secretary, Ministry of Finance inked the agreement on behalf of the Sri Lankan Government. |
