President in Interview with Channel News Asian telecast : Govt. has completed 65% of the groundwork for peace talks President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga in an interview with a Channel News Asian telecast in Singapore said that the Government of Sri Lanka on its part has accomplished 65 percent of the groundwork to restart peace negotiations and the balance rests with the LTTE. The Government on its part has also done a lot to inspire the LTTE to re-enter negotiations, the President said. |
