Lankan apparel exporters to participate in ASAP show The recent success of Sri Lanka's apparel factories exhibiting at the ASAP Global Sourcing Show at the Las Vegas Hilton Convention Centre - is again prompting a strong interest from buyers and participants for the next show from August 29 to September 1. A substantial Sri Lanka pavilion will be represented at ASAP, reinforcing the importance of the ASAP Show for exhibitors and buyers who will evaluate the broad capabilities of participating factories. The Sri Lanka Pavilion at the forthcoming show will be co-organised by the Sri Lanka Export Development Board and Cyber Merchants Exchange, Inc - Sri Lanka chapter. Governmental and trade organisations such as the American Chamber of Commerce and Joint Apparel Association forum helped to have a sizeable representation at the 'ASAP' Global Sourcing Show. Sri Lankan companies that will participate at the ASAP Show will be 'Timex Garments Ltd, Sanchia (Pvt) Ltd, Upali Garments Ltd, Tarus Baggages (Pvt) Ltd, Hi-Q Fashion (Pvt) Ltd, KBS Apparels Ltd, Zenith Fashions (Pvt) Ltd, Tulip Apparel (Pvt) Ltd said Buddhika Weerasinghe, Country Manager for Sri Lanka of Cyber Merchants Exchange, Inc. The 'ASAP' Global Sourcing Show (Apparel Sourcing Association Pavilion) is the world's largest garments and textile sourcing trade show produced by Cyber Merchants exchange, Inc ('C-Me') CA USA that brings leading manufacturer's from around the world to one venue to meet and sell to apparel buyers. The show management of ASAP arrange Match Making Sessions (MMS), Educational Seminars, Advertisement, Sourcing Guide and Daily Show News to help promote show exhibitors and buyers and seek garments orders. 'Our main objective is to have successful MMS (Match Making Sessions) for Sri Lanka's apparel exports at the show. Buddhika Weerasinghe said that no other apparel show in the world arranges one to one pre-arranged Match Makings Sessions that target potential apparel buyers for full package apparel manufactures. Most Sri Lankan apparel exporters go for MMS and that is why they are coming to our show, he said. The Show management has made arrangements to organise the following seminars on "The Sourcing Challenge in 2005", "International Quality Assurance: How it Affects Your Bottom Line", "Best Practices of US Brands", and "Money: Financing and Factoring". |
