The statement regarding international organisations attempting to foist schemes brought from other countries was made by a member of the Jaffna District Consortium of Non Governmental Organisations and not by Mr. Dhanapala. Mr. Dhanapala also briefed the meeting on the role of the National Advisory Committee for Peace and Reconciliation, mentioned by the President in her address to the Nation on June 12, 2004.
