Panadura group correspondent Panadura bus depot superintendent and an engineer have been charged in court for contributing to the breeding of Dengue mosquitoes by not clearing a pile of unserviceable tyres in the Depot premises. Panadura Magistrate Jagath A. Kahandagamage enlarged the depot superintendent Shelton Soysa and engineer Ariyapala on cash bail of Rs.5000 and personal bail of Rs. 25,000 each while fixing trial for September 25. The case was filed by Panadura Urban Council Public Health Inspector K. Dharshana. In another case, the Magistrate issued a warrant on the owner of a tyre manufacturing company in Panadura for permitting unserviceable tyres to be stacked in his premises leading to the breeding of mosquitoes. In this case the prosecutor was the Panadura Pradeshiya Sabha. |
