Two unbeaten teams clash in Kit soccer by Bernard Perera Ratnam SC unbeaten so far in Kit Premier League Championship will confront another unbeaten team from Slave Island, Victory SC today at City League Grounds. This encounter will be the pick of the game for the day. Ratnam has the edge in this game as they are a confident lot after winning the FA cup a few weeks ago. On the other hand Victory SC too have come up strongly this season to win two matches on the last two weekends specially against the high riding Renown SC when they outclassed them in the opening game two goals to nil at Shalika Grounds. This win has motivated the Slave Island team immensely and are sure to go flat out to keep its prestige today. The other two games down for decision today are Air Force SC vs. Matara SC at Katunayake and Negombo Youth SC vs. Renown SC at Reid Avenue. Tomorrow Saunders SC who have come up well this season winning both games up-to-date will confront Java Lane SC at City League Grounds. With young talent missed with few experienced players who were not available last season Saunders are well on course to go further ahead after this encounter. The three other games scheduled for Sunday are Jupitors SC vs Old Bens SC at Don Bosko Grounds, Negombo. Navy SC vs Police SC at Welisara and the newcomers to the Kit Premier League New Youngs SC vs Army at Albert F. Peiris Stadium, Wennappuwa. |
