Orders worth US $ 500,000 completed : Emerson Network power to double marker share to 20% Emerson Network Power (ENP), a global company in Network Uptime Solutions, in synergy with local ICT firms will expand its Network solutions business in Sri Lanka while planning to double its current 10 % market share to 20% by year end 2004-2005. The company outlined its business plans in the country at a customer meet organised for the first time in Sri Lanka. The firm has also completed orders from prominent ICT companies in Sri Lanka to the value of US $ 500,000. Country Champion-Uptime Solutions - Emerson Network Power (India) (Pvt) Ltd (India) Shrikant Bapat said that Sri Lanka's ICT industry is developing fast and there is much potential in the Sri Lankan market for them to invest. "We will forge ahead with our new business development efforts and consolidate our presence in the market. During the previous year, we were able to bag several orders to the tune of US $ 500,000 from companies such as VSNL Lanka, Prime Minister's Office, John Keells Holdings, The Ministry of Education and The Wildlife and Forest Conservation Department. He said that the company also increased its existing range of UPS and PEC products in the country with the introduction of PC Uptime, a 650 VA UPS and Himod PEC Range. The PC Uptime 650 VA UPS received an overwhelming response with 5,000 units already rolled out in the market. Country Sales Representative Lalit Hewage said his company is committed to provide all Networking Solutions in the country while providing more rooms for employment opportunities and further progress in other sectors. Laxman Agalawe, Corporate Champion - International Business, Emerson Network Power said that Emerson has made significant inroads into the government and IT verticals in the past year.
