UK, SLBC promotional events The UK, Sri Lanka Business Council is working closely with the Tourist Board and the Board of Investment (BOI) to organise several promotional events in UK shortly. Meanwhile, the BOI appointed a premier public relations company in UK named Weber Sandwick to launch a publicity campaign to attract more investors to Sri Lanka. The UK, SLBC is closely working with them, said Chairman of the UK, SLBC Jayampathy Perera. The UK, SLBC has also agreed to give all the support for the Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) through Outsourcing 2004 exhibition, which is scheduled to be held in London next month. He said that ICTA has made an impact in UK at the presentation at the Sri Lanka High Commission where a large number of prospective investors including Sri Lanka expatriates participated. The Business Council also has planned a business reception for Trade Minister Jeyaraj Fernandopulle who is due in UK this month where he would be able to have some useful discussions with top businessmen.
