'Kodda' is CEO of Cricket Foundation Former Sri Lanka opening batsman Nihal Kodituwakku has been appointed the CEO of the Sri Lanka Cricket Foundation with immediate effect. Kodituwakku has been serving the SLCF since 2001 in the capacity of manager and executive secretary before his new appointment. He has conducted coaching clinics at Tissamaharama and Anuradhapura and runs a coaching school for the Foundation where children from the ages of 10 to 15 are coached by him three days a week. In appreciation of his work the Trustees of the Foundation have appointed him the CEO. 'Kodda' as he is fondly referred to, played for Royal College from 1958-59 and represented SSC in the Sara Trophy Division I Tournament from 1962-69. He later went onto represent Sri Lanka as an opening batsman from 1964-69. He is head coach of Maliyadeva College, Kurunegala and has been district coach from 1986-89, cricket manager of CCC 1989-1991, head coach of S. Thomas' College, Mt. Lavinia 1991-97 and head coach of Royal College, Colombo from 1998-2001. |
