UPFA questions Competent Authority's conduct

The United People's Freedom Alliance yesterday questioned the conduct of the Competent Authority appointed by the Elections Commissioner who the UPFA charged was favouring the UNF by following the instructions given to him by the party.

SC directs Competent Authority to consult AG

The Supreme Court yesterday directed the Competent Authority appointed by the Elections Commissioner to act in consultation with the Attorney General in respect of the programmes broadcast over the Rupavahini and Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation, until the end of the General Election on April 2.
